Viva Las Vegas! Pinpoint Attend Imagine 2019

Last month Pinpoint joined over 3,500 attendees across the world of eCommerce for Imagine 2019 in Las Vegas. The event, which has an aim to ‘Expand the Experience’, is highly anticipated and this year it certainly delivered! Sharing important announcements, running valuable customer panels and networking events, Pinpoint were proud to join industry-leading names, even taking to the stage to present our customer success story with beer connoisseurs, Beer Hawk.

As the first Imagine event since Adobe’s acquisition of Magento in 2018, the new partnership was naturally the buzz of the week. Core motives behind the partnership were highlighted with the overarching aim to create personal experiences that empower people. Further reasons behind the acquisition were uncovered including the synergy of the two companies’ cultures and Adobe’s plan to build upon Magento’s strengths for the future.

Important Announcements

Many announcements were brought to the forefront, particularly the expansion of commerce opportunities. A prominent feature update was their integration with Amazon and Google sales channels (you can find more information on this new feature here on our blog). Integration of Paypal’s Braintree within Magento’s PWA Studio which provides a quick and simple solution for partners to implement safe and secure debit and credit payment options was also discussed. Magento’s blog covers other key highlights from Imagine 2019 and their aim to change the world through digital experiences.

Pinpoint, Beer Hawk and Klevu Take to the Stage

Our very own Lewis Sellers and Douglas Radburn took to the stage alongside Mark Roberts, Co-Founder of Beer Hawk and Claudia Ditri, UK Sales and Partnership Manager at Klevu to present our ‘7 Secrets to Successful Migration’. Using Beer Hawk’s successful M1 Open Source to M2 Commerce migration as a case study, we explained how this project has helped them conquer the craft beer market. Our presentation touched upon the approach we took and the collaborative partnership between Pinpoint and Beer Hawk, covering the challenges of data migration, the impact of internal users, and how third-party Klevu was introduced to provide essential personalisation through smart search.

From step one of agreeing the project scope, through to prioritising development in order to meet the seriously speedy project turnaround in just three months, we shared valuable tips on what made the project a success, providing attendees with a valuable glimpse into the migration process.

A successful event for all, we came away from Imagine 2019 with knowledge on the industry developments from leading technology partners and agencies, plus the very latest updates since the Adobe acquisition.
